Children of Hope

(All the following information was taken from the Children of Hope website)

ADMINISTRATION AND PERSONNEL
The academy is under the administration and supervision of Dr. Alton L. Wade, Ed.D. and Diana M. Wade, B.S. who receive no remuneration for their services. All who work at the academy in any capacity are unpaid volunteers. Many of the volunteers are students at the LDS Institute of Religion or Dixie State College located across the street from the academy.

THE FACILITY
The school is housed in a 3000 sq. ft. two story building. All school activities are confined to the facility or in the yard surrounding the building. All instructional activities are carried out between the hours of 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Monday through Friday and no residential facilities are provided. As the school does not own or operate vehicles of any kind, the family of the student provides daily transportation to and from school. Because of limited space the academy enrollment is capped at twenty-five and there are never more than eight students in the facility at any given time.

THE PROGRAM

Each student receives a personal and detailed evaluation from the staff at the National Association For Child Development (NACD) national office in Ogden, Utah. Between evaluations the student comes to the academy for two hours daily to receive individual tutoring from volunteers who help them make progress on their prescribed mental and physical programs. Additional programming is carried out in the student's home by parents, siblings and neighborhood volunteers.

FINANCES
The Children of Hope Academy does not solicit nor receive financial help from federal or state agencies. This policy is by intent so that the academy is not placed under policies, procedures or regulations that would restrict the use of the proven National Association For Child Development (NACD) programs in any way. The families of all enrolled students in the academy are expected to participate in the fundraising activities and in the solicitation of funds from private individuals, companies, and foundations. All donated services, materials and funds go directly to the benefit of the students and their programs.
LIABILITY INSURANCE
The Children of Hope Academy is fully insured for the liability of accidents and services.
